schedule by the chakras - Schedule Inventory
Welcome, sweet soul, to your schedule inventory. This is the first step to taking control of your schedule, your time and your life.
As with anything we're trying to change, we have to first get clear on the current state of the situation.
Right now, I want you to pull out a journal, set a timer for five minutes, and write out all the projects, to-dos, commitments, obligations, desires and wants that are showing up on your calendar and filling up your days right now.
Ready? Go. I'll wait...
And if you're someone who likes to read everything first, then do the work - you're doing beautiful work, too. Just make sure you go back and take action once you've read all the things.
Next, I want you to look at that list, and plug each of those items into this schedule template. This is going to be the starting point for our roadmap.
Now, for the final step: over the next three days, I want you to record your daily activities.
A note here: no, this work is not super sexy. Not half as sexy as a chakra activation or guided meditation that promises to clear and balance your chakras. But this shit is practical, actionable, and it works.
The most important thing to me is that you USE the tools I give you. Because I know that you'll experience a beautiful shift if you do.
So take the time to do this inventory, and then get ready to integrate the chakra work in the next step.
NOTE: if your schedule differs every week, this process will still work! It's just a little bit different. For you, the biggest thing to look at is listing all the things you always do, as well as all the things you sometimes do. Then, feeling into how much time those things take.
Do you usually work four 8 hour shifts a week, but the days vary? Sometimes you work a double? Sometimes you're at a partner's house so you don't have your own space? Do you volunteer or take on a bigger project one week every month? Whatever it is, write it down and get clear on how much time/how frequently this occurs. The intention hear is to get clarity on what types of different days you have in your schedule.
For people who work 9-5 jobs, they mainly have two containers, or types of days: work days and days off. If you have a fluid schedule, that's not the case, but we can still identify what containers you have, and build this work into each different type of container you experience in your schedule.
Instead of creating a template of what your consistent balanced week looks like, we'll create balanced days. So knowing that on days you have off, you'll nurture your root and sacral chakras by doing activities that balance those centers. And on days when you work, volunteer, etc. you can focus on that without feeling guilty for not doing all the things. Make sense?
More on how this works as we get into the Chakra Inventory. For now, make your list, and create your inventory of all the things that always/sometimes go into your schedule.
